South Bend, IN—The United States Attorney's Office announced:Neal Lucterhand, 25, of Elkhart, Indiana, pled guilty before Magistrate Judge Christopher Neuchterlein to count one of an indictment charging him with being an unlawful user of a controlled substance in possession of a firearm. Sentencing has been set for 5/12/11. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives . This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John Maciejczyk.
Ruben Lagunas-Delgado, 27, of Michigan City, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 1 year of probation after pleading guilty to count two of an indictment charging him with making false statements in the application for a passport. This case was the result of an investigation by the Department of State Diplomatic Security. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John Maciejczyk.
Kenneth Fox, 42, of Logansport, Indiana, was sentenced by Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to 24 months imprisonment and 4 years of supervised release after pleading guilty to count one of an indictment charging him with manufacturing marijuana. This case was the result of an investigation by Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, and the Indiana State Police. This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer.
Elizabeth Atkinson, 22, of Kingsford Heights, Indiana, pled guilty before Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to count two of an indictment charging her with distribution of crack cocaine. Sentencing has been set for 5/25/11. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the Drug Enforcement Administration. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Frank Schaffer .
Nathaniel Kelly, 41, of Michigan City, Indiana, pled guilty before Judge Robert Miller, Jr. to count one of an indictment charging him with failure to register as a sex offender. Sentencing has been set for 6/20/11. These charges were filed as the result of an investigation by the US Marshal’s Service. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney John Maciejczyk.
The specific sentence in each case to be imposed upon conviction will be determined by the judge after a consideration of federal sentencing statutes and the Federal Sentencing Guidelines.
